Over at Kent Hovind’s Whinery, I ran across this comment:
I am a high school science teacher. So far I have been able to teach creation science a couple years without being stopped by administration. I spend as much time if not more teaching creation science as I do going thru the textbook they make me use. Of course, I skip all the chapters with evolution. I use Dr. Hovind’s seminar notebook and his book Are You Being Brainwashed. In a couple weeks I will be going at it again. I pray I can continue to do the same as I have been.
Hopefully, this guy is just lying, and has made the whole thing up. Because if not, that means he’s not just failing to teach the kids science, he’s teaching them antiscience, filling their heads with nonsense that has to be unlearned before they can be properly taught. He’s skipping important parts of the curriculum. He’s bringing in “teaching” materials by a wackjob so far out there that even other young-earth creationists have asked him to stop. And if this has really been going on for years, we have to consider the possibility that the school administration knows about his activities, but is turning a blind eye to them.
How would one go about subpoenaing cseblogs.com’s httpd logs to see where this clown posted from, to see whether any of it is true?

I think, school administation must check the teachers more thoroughly, otherwise we will have students whose minds will be full of stuff that has nothing to do with the proper education.

I have spent the last 20 years studying Evolutionist writings. I have found that the greatest evidence against evolutionists is there own writings. I have a BA in Physical Geography and I can not find one shred of observable evidence that supports the THEORY of Evolution. Teachers are allowed to teach both evolution and creationism. It is up to the teachers according to the U.S. Supreme Court. Also, the evolutionists need to be very careful. Everson 1947 (Separation of church and state case) says that schools cannot ridicule or make fun of students because of their beliefs. Since students are being made fun of and teachers are being fired, denied tenure and demoted they are in violation of the court opinion.

The last time someone came here and made that claim, it turned out that what he really meant was “I’ve had dishonest hacks like Hovind, Ham, and Comfort feeding me carefully selected quote-mines for years.”

Nobody has said otherwise. If you’re speaking specifically to science curriculum; even there nobody has precluded the teaching of creationist scientific theory. We’re just waiting for some to appear that holds up to even the most superficial of scientific scrutiny. And waiting. And waiting and waiting and waiting…

but, here is the description of what that Physical Geography degree covers.
Physical geography primarily covers natural processes that create the background environment in which human activities occur. Physical geography includes climatology (study of weather patterns and how they provide energy and moisture), land surface processes (literally the shape of the land, how hills and valleys and other topographic features form and change), bio geography (how naturally occurring plant and animal populations are influenced by these other parts of geography), and other combination’s of subareas.
Doesn’t strike me as field that covers the same field of science as evolution would cover, such as Geology or Biology.

Huh. Okay, I was wrong.
Except for the biogeography part. And I suspect that understanding the topics you listed would pretty much preclude anyone from being a young-earth creationist.
